I had that fun conversation back in 2013, when my son was a few months old, we had just purchased a house that was a bit of a stretch, and like most Americans- we spent pretty much everything we made.
After nearly being laid off, I pursued a path of personal finance, self-development, and investing strategies that lead to my wife and I paying off $150k+ in debt, increasing our net worth from negative to multi seven figures in the positive, and creating multiple streams of passive income- all in a few short years.
I began investing in real estate in 2017 with the purchase of a duplex. Since then I’ve scaled a portfolio to 133 multifamily units and 3 short term rentals.
My other business vertical is as a MN licensed Realtor leading the state of MN in helping clients acquire 2-4 unit multifamily properties and leading a community of financial freedom seeking real estate investors, the Wealth Builders Circle.
I’m passionate about anything personal finance related, and love educating people on how to better their personal situation with smarter moves in that area.
The goal behind the portfolio is to buy time freedom, flexibility, and location freedom to try and be the best dad and husband I can. My wife Elena, my 11 year old Lucas, and 8 year old Clara are trying to visit all 50 states before they graduate- and we just started last year!
Accountability is always key. I’ve been part of masterminds before and always gain from being able to learn & teach, and make meaningful relationships. I’m especially excited about this one because it isn’t real estate focused like my other ones. I’m excited to see what things in different industries apply and can be used in my business.
