I've always been a dreamer and risk taker. Constantly coming up with ideas and concepts that need testing or vetting out. Whether it's that or my severe ADHD, this led me down the path of becoming an entrepreneur.

Through school I realized that although I was a bright kid, picture books made a lot more sense than word books. Which means that anatomy books tended to click in my brain a lot more than any sort of accounting or physics books. Mixed with the entrepreneurial spirit I knew I wanted to do my own thing and be of help however necessary to get people moving and feeling their best.

I've owned my own Chiropractic and Rehab Clinic since 2015 and have seen continued growth year after year. But even with that growth, I still need something to tinker with and keep my focus. I've filled that void over the last 7 years with leaning more and more into content creation namely with creating Continuing Education Courses for numerous companies. This has brought me everywhere from the east to west coast and even down to Mexico as well as overseas to multiple countries via Webcasts.

In the last couple of years I've realized I need to start working more proximally. I need to work ON my business instead of IN my business. My short term goals are to figure out the 'recipe' instead of just knowing the ingredients. What I mean by that statement is that I know I'm good at what I do to help people move and feel their best. Now with a growing team of 3 other providers and more referral sources - how do we get repeatable results and continue to scale the model.

That leads me to my long term goal of scaling a repeatable clinical experience. Whether that’s opening a second Clinical Location or bringing on more staff in the form of employees. Again, I know I have the technician skills necessary but what I'm seeking from this group is the leadership tactics, marketing traits, and financial acumen to really take it to the next level successfully.

Aside from those items, I truthfully need a group of people who are going to believe in me and push me to take action. Without a 'boss' as an solo-prenuer we often get lost in the day-to-day tasks and never spend time working on the business. I believe that my constant state of 'devils advocate' is what I bring most to the group. Not necessarily thinking OUTSIDE the box but rather pushing the boundaries of the box so that the whole becomes larger for opportunities. I'm incessantly thinking of what's next or a missing link for other's concepts or theories but often lack the follow-thru to tackle my own.

With 10 years of running a business I also bring a lot of learned failure to the group. We gain a lot of experience from failure and that's an integral part of success. As a sole owner/operator I've had to tackle every aspect of running my business from marketing to being the cleaning crew.

Apart from the clinical goals which are more immediate for growth, I'm also very interested in building a passive income portfolio when the capital growth allows for it. And there isn't a group of people more supportive and passionate who can help me get there than the crew at Rising Tide.
